We are seeking a talented Machine Learning Engineer to join our Data Science and Digital Health (DSDH) team within Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. Key Responsibilities

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will:

• Develop machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions to optimize R&D global drug development processes.
• Collaborate with agile development teams to build state-of-the-art machine learning pipelines.
• Contribute to patient modeling and trial simulations to enhance clinical trial efficiency.
• Design and implement execution strategies for AI/ML projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Process and transform complex datasets into actionable insights using advanced data analytics techniques.
• Partner with data scientists to deliver projects from data feasibility to final presentation for senior leadership.
• Build multi-modal machine learning pipelines using diverse data sources, including clinical operations, real-world data, and socio-demographic data.
• Communicate technical methods and results effectively to cross-functional teams to drive decision-making.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience in a start-up, technology, or healthcare industry, or a Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline (e.g., artificial intelligence, computer science, applied mathematics).
• Expertise in machine learning, deep learning, statistical modeling, and natural language processing.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL programming languages.
• Experience building ETL frameworks and maintaining data quality (experience with AWS Glue is a plus).
• Familiarity with Linux environments and MLOps tools such as Jenkins, MLFlow, or Airflow.
• Strong skills in data visualization and the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences.
• A passion for leveraging data to drive scientific innovation and improve healthcare outcomes.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English.
