POSITION SUMMARY:
The Data Analyst plays a key role in transforming product and customer data into actionable insights that improve product performance, reliability, and customer retention. This role partners closely with Product, Sales, Operations, and IT teams to assess trends, build predictive insights, and deliver custom and automated reporting solutions. The ideal candidate has strong analytical abilities, a deep understanding of data systems and databases, and the ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations. This position is hands-on, highly collaborative, and focused on using data to drive informed product and business decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ramp up on Noregon’s data ecosystem by learning how our software applications collect, store, and deliver data across multiple databases and platforms.
  • build an understanding of the underlying data infrastructure that supports our products and how data flows from source systems into analytics and reporting environments.
  • assess product and customer data to identify opportunities to improve product performance, reliability, and customer outcomes.
  • Research patterns and trends in application data to better understand system faults and identify indicators that may predict future issues or failures.
  • Evaluate what additional data inputs could improve predictive capabilities and product intelligence.
  • Partner with Sales and Product teams to build data-driven models and insights, including identifying customers at risk of churn and supporting customer retention strategies.
  • Build, run, and maintain custom reports to help Sales, Operations, and Product Management teams.
  • work together with IT to transition frequently used custom reports into automated, scalable reporting or data solutions.
  • Provide data and analytics help for product decision-making by recommending which data elements should be refreshed regularly in the data warehouse.
  • Identify and propose new data elements, features, or enhancements that could add value to products, applications, or databases.

EDUCATION/expertise vital:

  • Proven work expertise as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar role.
  • Bachelors in Data Science or another relevant field preferred.
  • familiarity of data mining and segmentation techniques.
  • Expertise in SQL and Non-relational databases.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools.
  • Proven analytical abilities.
  • Problem-solving abilities.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • expertise using MS Office and MS operating systems.
